Hello there!!
Today, I’m sharing two gorgeous pictures taken at one of the most beautiful cities in India – Udaipur! These ones are special, both of them were clicked with DSLR (Nikon D3300) and in the evening, the only major difference being the ‘White Balance’. The ISO, Exposure etc. vary for both the pictures but the vital one is White Balance.
White Balance as defined on Nikon’s website – ‘White balance is used to adjust colors to match the color of the light source so that white objects appear white. Subjects may be lit by a number of different light sources, including sunlight, incandescent bulbs, and fluorescent lighting.’
So, which one do you like better? I’m so confused I like both of them 🙂 it’s hard to decide but one thing for sure is – ‘ Just like colors can make a picture appear discrete, in Life a new perspective can infuse new energy and positivity ‘.
Wish to read more on Udaipur and sightseeing here you go – A day at City of Lakes…
I love the warmth of the bottom picture but I equally love the softness of the top one and the fact that the lack of colour gives it a vintage feel that somehow seems appropriate. I almost expect it to be part of a wonderful 1930s film ….. 🎥

Thank you Osyth!! You’re so so kind 💛💛 I agree, colors make everything so beautiful, it’s just that that the monochrome one takes me back in time☺️ you have put it wonderfully a 1930s film ☺️☺️

I play a lot with it. Like you can say too much.
Different f-stop and white balance metering. So I have single shot bit with different white balance.

https://polldaddy.com/js/rating/rating.jsThough I do not know much about photography, to me both look beautiful in their own distinct way. One symbolises the vintage look while the other beautifies Really picturesque shots you have got here:)

https://polldaddy.com/js/rating/rating.jsI’ll go with coloured picture. Black and white is not at all appealing. Doesn’t convey the mood.

I know, colors infuse so much positivity! It’s just that the monochrome makes me feel nostalgic😀😀 I remember in my Grandparents village there was always a B&W TV set, it was like watching everything minus the enthusiasm!! ☺️sometimes it was fun though.

https://polldaddy.com/js/rating/rating.jswell said! In my experience, monochrome looks great on portraits because it highlights emotions better. But It’s good that you’re experimenting with photography! It surely opens up mind! 🙂

https://polldaddy.com/js/rating/rating.jsI use monochrome in very few situations, portraits and special effects. Since I have a preference for color pictures, my choice is image no. 2, which is well done.

Same here Peter, there are situations when monochrome is the best choice but generally color is always preferred one☺️☺️
